Good Home Training laid the groundwork for “Flavors of Freedom,” an article written by co-director and executive producer Riche Holmes Grant and featured in the January/February 2023 print edition of Better Homes & Gardens magazine and online.

The piece spotlighted four trailblazing Black women who helped shape America’s food history and culture, including Malinda Russell—believed to be the Black person to publish a cookbook in the US—who's featured in the film.
